Driving Instructor

Santa Clara / San Jose / Los Gatos · $25–$32/hr · Flexible Schedule · Part-Time or Full-Time · 10–40 hrs/week

Where You’ll Teach

  • Primary areas: Santa Clara, San Jose, Los Gatos
  • Also serving: Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Cupertino & nearby South Bay cities
  • All lessons in a clean, modern company vehicle

What You’ll Do

  • Teach one-on-one behind-the-wheel lessons to teens and adults
  • Coach core skills: turns, lane changes, parking, freeway driving & more
  • Teach defensive driving and California road rules calmly & professionally
  • Prepare students for the DMV driving test with mock routes & feedback
  • Track progress with simple, quick documentation
  • Coordinate with our scheduling team to keep lessons running smoothly

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Valid California driver’s license
  • Clean driving record (no major violations or DUI)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong safety mindset & sound judgment
  • Patient, clear communication — great with teens & adults
  • Ability to stay calm & professional at all times
Screening
  • Pass background check (Live Scan if required)
  • Willingness for basic medical check if needed

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

  • Prior teaching, coaching or customer service experience
  • Already hold a California Driving Instructor license (pay advantage)
  • Bilingual — Spanish, Hindi or other languages a plus
  • Excellent punctuality & professional communication
Physical Requirements
  • Comfortable sitting for extended periods in a car
  • Good vision & hearing in all weather conditions
  • Able to bend, reach & lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
