Mayor Russell Wilson and Councilman Charles O. Rose declared they did not favor admitting funeral homes to residence zones. At present they are permitted only in business zones, but the rule has resulted in several applications for zone changes. Burton E. Robinson, attorney, asked for a hearing on the matter and the committee decided to hear him at a future meeting.

Mayor Wilson insisted, however, that he would not care to live next door to a funeral home. A request of Selma Raphaelson and Jacob Raphaelson that zoning along Central Parkway, between Hopple Street and Julia Ann Street, be-changed to Business was refused by the committee. This territory is zoned Business A on the new maps. The committee will meet again tomorrow afternoon to decide pending questions concerning the new maps. AIR TRAFFIC INCREASES.

Chicago, March 30 (AP) An increase in air mail-express-passenger plane mileage to 13,500,000 miles a year will result from additional services made effective today by United Air Lines. The expansion calls for additional passenger plane, schedules between Los Angeles and San Francisco and Seattle and Portland, as well as a night service between Cleveland, Chicago, Moline, Kansas City, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Fort Worth and Dallas. New York, March 30 (AP) Foreign currencies made irregular changes today and closed with a mixture of moderate gains and losses. Sterling cables, after dropping about 8 cents, finished half a cent net higher at J3.78. It was reported early in the day that the bank of England was selling to keep down the quotation, but If this was the case such offerings eventually proved Ineffectual.

Advices from London spoke of the favorable reception there to news that Congress was proceeding to balance the budget, French francs again reacted and at closing rate of 3.92 1 cents were comfortablv below tho gold export point. Several other continental rates, however, developed late firmness. Nominal advances appeared In the Belga, the Dutch guilder and the Relchs-mark. Scandanavlans were erratic. Canadian dollars rose to a new high for the year above 90 cents.

Company S.nno Laura, Clark to Ida 400 REAL ESTATE AND BUILDING Cincinnati realtors gathered in the Realtor's Building, 323 Hammond Street, last night and listened to talks by T. Stevenson, Pittsburgh, President of the National Association of Real Estate Boards; Herbert U. Nelson, Chicago, Executive Secretary of the Association; Frank Malick, President of the Ohio Association of Real Estate Boards and General Chairman of the Convention Committee of the Cincinnati Real Estate Board, and General P.

Lincoln Mitchell, Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Convention. Mr. Stevenson related the activities of the National Association in conducting the fight in Washington for the Watson-Luce bill, which provides ror the establishment of 12 Federal Home Loan Banks in various parts of the country. Mr. Stevenson invited those present to question him at the end of his talk.

Quite a few took advantage of this offer, the result being that the feeling among those present was disclosed as unanimously In favor of the bill at the conclusion of the forum. Present methods of home financing were derided by Mr. Stevenson. He said that at the present time in his home City of Pittsburgh a man with a $10,000 home, paid for In full, cannot borrow $2,000 on it. He said the normal production of homes in the United States is 240,000 a year, which dwindled to 100,000 in 1930 and 60,000 in 1931.

He predicted the figure for 1932 would fall considerably below the 1931 total. Mr. Nelson called the realtors' attention to the convention of the national association which will take place in Cincinnati the week of June 2G. He gave them an insight into what they may expect on the program, stressing housing and taxation. Mr.

Nelson reviewed some of the work being done throughout the country on these two subjects by the association of which he is the Executive Secretary. Both Mr. Stevenson and Mr. Nelson were lavish in their praise of Cincinnati, and said the record of good government In Cincinnati, known throughout the country, undoubtedly has reacted to the betterment of real estate values and, in various other ways, making it one of the two or three outstanding cities of the country during the present financial crisis. Mr.

Malick, who is representing the Cincinnati Real Estate Board in the preparations for the convention in June, urged the members of the Board to cooperate with him in every way to make the affair generally worth while and to make the 2,000 realtors expected here feel glad they came to the Queen City. General Mitchell then spoke enthusiastically of the convention and likened the present economical condition to the trend of events In the World War in March, 1918. All of the Allies were beginning to lose hope, he said, and then came the turning of events in June and the winning of the war In October. Gen eral Mitchell said this is no time to lose hope, but to give of time and money in tho interest of their bus! ness, as one never can tell when the turn will come In economic up heavals any more than during a war. In a roll call of the members Gen eral Mitchell obtained nearly $1,000 more for the convention fund, which brings the contributions close to $5,000, or half of what the General has been ordered to raise by the committee.

Realtors from Dayton, Hamilton, Mlddletown, Newport and Covington attended. L. T. Palmer, Mlddletown, led the group from his town and was called on for a few remarks. Mr Palmer Is a candidate for Congressman at large.

A dinner In tho grill preceded the session. Allied Construction Industries received the following sets of plans and specifications yesterday; they are posted in the plan room of the organization for the use of its members: Contract No. 225, Cincinnati Union Terminal Company, underground drainage, air and water piping In coach yard; bids received by H.
