Does Yahoo Finance show competitors?
A quick way to find competitors is to check Yahoo Finance or other relevant sites. Enter the ticker and then select the compare tab. Of the main sites, these are the main three I use to look at competitors. Already you have a good list of competitors you can benchmark against the stock that you are looking at.
Go to Yahoo Finance. Search for and select a symbol you want to compare. In the upper left, click Comparison. Search for and select another symbol to compare.
Any of the databases listed in the Company Profiles tab will provide lists of competitors. Think about the criteria that was used to create the list to determine whether it is comprehensive and relevant to your analysis. EDGAR is the Securities and Exchange Commission's database of company filings, including 10Ks.
